GLAS ANIMATION GRANT RECIPIENTS 2018

In March of 2018, with the support of an anonymous donor and additional support by Screen Novelties, we were able to launch the GLAS Animation Grant Program. This program is designed to fund independent filmmakers living in the United States in support of animated short films made outside commercial and academic institutions.
We are excited to announce the recipients of the first annual GLAS Animation Grant.  We couldn’t be more thrilled to support these projects, and can’t wait to help share them with the world. Meet the artists and take a look at their work below!
JERON BRAXTON Jeron Braxton is a young self taught award winning animator making waves world wide. His work reflects life thru a black American lens using surreal 90’s video game aesthetics. GLAS is pleased to support his forthcoming short film titled Oxytocin. Artist Website Instagram
BRONWYN MALONEY Bronwyn Maloney is an artist and animator from New York. Her filmmaking practice is rooted in fine art and design for performance, highlighting sensual motion and graphic color and lighting. She works in hand drawn digital animation, and stop motion replacement animation, exploring abstracted narratives in a 2-dimensional space.
