LANDMARK CINEMAS – Shattuck Cinemas and California Theater

Theaters 2230 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley, CA, 94704 10 Screens DLP Digital Projection and Sound. Built in 1988. Operated by Landmark since 1994. The Shattuck Cinemas opened in May 1988 on the ground floor of the lovely Shattuck Hotel in downtown Berkeley, just one block from the University of California-Berkeley. It features an eclectic mix of Hollywood favorites, foreign language cinema and independent film. DAVID BROWER CENTER – Panels, Q&As, + More!

Brower 2150 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94704 Green from the ground up, the Brower Center is a powerful model of sustainable, mixed-use development. Utilizing the latest in energy-saving technologies and recycled building materials, the Center makes as light a footprint on the Earth as possible, taking into account the true life-cycle cost of building construction, operation, and maintenance.  

BERKELEY ART CENTER – Animation Installations

Berkeley_Art_Center 1275 Walnut Street Berkeley, CA 94709  510-644-6893 Designed by Robert Ratcliff Architects in 1967, the Berkeley Art Center was built by the Rotary Club as a gift to the City of Berkeley, and was instituted as a city program until BAC adopted its private, non-profit status in the late 70s. A beautiful arts and crafts-style structure in Live Oak Park, North Berkeley with an outdoor sculpture patio featuring the work of renowned area sculptors, BAC has established itself as leading gallery presenting the work of talented regional artists in diverse media.  

FIREHOUSE GALLERY NORTH + FIREHOUSE ADELINE THEATER

Firehouse Firehouse Gallery North : 1790 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94709 Firehouse Adeline Theater : 3192 Adeline Avenue, Berkeley CA 94703  The Firehouse Art Collaborative (FAC), is a non profit project, directed by Tom Franco and Julia Lazar, providing spaces for artists to co-create currency, and a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration. FAC will be hosting installations and performances at the 2016 GLAS Animation Festival.

The UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive is the visual arts center of the University of California, Berkeley, the nation’s leading public research university. Our mission is to inspire the imagination and ignite critical dialogue through art and film, engaging audiences from the UC Berkeley campus, the Bay Area, and beyond. Each year BAMPFA presents more than twenty art exhibitions, 450 film programs, and dozens of performances, as well as lectures, symposia, and tours.
